I (Leslie Valiant) run a small design business in Southern Indiana. With 14 years of marketing experience, I am equipped with knowledge from many different industries and perspectives. As my professional career began in private marketing, I became more and more interested in small business growth. As a result, my career has evolved into my own little studio – Valiant Creative!

WHO AM I, AND WHAT HAPPENS AT THE VALIANT CREATIVE STUDIO?

It all started in West Lafayette!

B.A. Communication with concentration in Advertising,
A.S. Computer Graphics Technology

Then what happened?

WORK EXPERIENCE: My time in the “real world” has given me invaluable experience and certainly matured my initiative and drive.

My career in marketing includes:

a great experience in Indianapolis, IN as a copy writer and designer for a wholesale distribution catalog company (Central Products, Inc.)

a priceless learning experience in web-development and sales and marketing in the large format printing industry at a top-notch sign franchise in Evansville, IN (Sign-A-Rama Evansville)

and an invaluable experience in multi-tasking, management, team building and budget balancing as director of marketing for a regional medical practice in Vincennes, IN  (Wabash Valley Eye Center)

With all of these skills I try and do the best I can to provide the most efficient and creative solution for my clients. And when the best solution cannot be achieved by my own expertise, I will seek out those with whom the proper skills are available.

What am I doing now?

STUDIO OVERVIEW: Valiant Creative is a small graphic design studio located in Washington, IN..   My specialty is designing (including writing and graphics) marketing material for small businesses and individuals wishing to promote their products or services. These materials can include anything used to promote a business like flyers, brochures, booklets, reports, presentations, business cards, letterhead, and EVEN website development.

Is it fun?

If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be doing it! Graphic Design and Web Development is a blast. It can be challenging and a lot of work sometimes, but the end result usually gets me excited for the next project.
My hours are rarely 8-5 (more like 8pm – midnight), my office is never quiet (a myriad of great music is usually cranked in the background), and much of the time I’m working in my favorite jeans and a T-shirt! So… yeah. It’s fun!
